Downloading the app doesnt allow you to import your iPod library directly. You must use iTunes. Its not compatible with Spotify or Pandora. If you use subscription services for your music, this wont work for you.
The app is great. But if you subscribe to Apple Music, like I do, you are missing out on most of your songs. Would love an update with Apple Music integration, and a version of the App for Apple TV, that way I dont have to AirPlay from my phone. That would make it really five stars.
This app has potential, but right now its utterly useless since it only gave me access to maybe 100 songs in my 7000+ song library and you cannot choose which songs. It should state that up front. I want my money back.
not playing all songs from my playlist. synchronization very poor. basically lamps are just blinking no regards to the music. how to get money back ?
This app it really does a good job with the music and the light the latest update have made it faster responding to the lights and the effects there is still a problems with the volume control from this app after playing music for a while the volume control becomes unresponsive and you cant change the it .
True!
This app only loaded about a quarter of my songs. Fix this!!
When it works its awesome but every once in awhile the music just drops from AirPlay.
Great application for being responsive to your actual music, and not through the microphone, but how hard is it to get a shuffle button? Sometimes I just want to listen to my music on shuffle and cannot currently do that with this app (or it is not readily apparent). Please redesign to incorporate this, as usually I just use my music app instead of this app when I want to listen to music shuffled (which is most of the time). Thanks!
These are perfect for synching with your music. It matches the subtleties of the beat changes, pauses and crescendos really well. Much better than Hue Disco in my opinion. Get this app ASAP.
You should let it connect to Spotify or Pandora to stream music that the lights dance with. Nowadays its rare to find someone with an extensive music library on their mobile device.
The adding colors feature doesnt work. It only adds purple no matter what color you pick.
Apple Music ability is essentially useless. Download an Apple Music playlist to your fone and Ambify will NOT recognize it. Only a very small random selection from your library is Ambifiable. Wait til this app works as advertised.
First off, this app is good and I like it but I have two suggestions that would make it better. Please add a shuffle option (or if that exists please add instructions to the manual). Secondly, it would be awesome if I could tell the app where my lamps are placed in relation to my room. If ambify could use left/right orientation to emphasize stereo sound that would be awesome (or even 5.1 surround on SACD)
This is an awesome app. There is just one major issue it doesnt load my library and no Apple Music. If they dont fix this then dont waste any of your money on this app because you will be disappointed. Come on devs give the people what they want or sink trying.
The app is great for syncing lights to music. However it will not pick up Spotify or Apple Music albums that are downloaded! And thats just very annoying.
The app has potential, but it still needs a lot of work. Selecting music is at times tedious with a laggy UI and a near useless search function. It’s not even possible to search by song name, you have to search by either artist or album. There’s is no shuffle, playlists are played in order. The color picker is so broken it’s useless. You can create a new theme but the only color you can choose is purple. I do however enjoy the visualization it responds pretty well to the music. The one thing I’d like to see with the visualization is a correlation when it comes to the amplitude and brightness during the music. It would be nice to see the lights lower during the quieter parts of the song and then turn brighter during the peaks. I don’t know if the developer should be charging $2.99 for an app that’s only half finished. 99 cents seems more reasonable. Overall I really do like the potential and will keep playing with it and hopefully watch it grow.
Like others have said, this app is useless if you use Apple Music. It wont recognize any of my songs. Wasted $2.99.
This is a waste of money if you have Apple music and try to use this. It can read only songs which you bought in iTunes!
